Altar Servers have. Being a server is not just
work. It's a chance to serve God, make friends, and
have a good time while doing it.
These pictures show just that.
On Friday, August 17th, 2012, the altar servers and OLMC pastor Fr. Mike Torpey attended a Long Island Ducks Baseball Game.
We watched the Ducks beat Lancaster 15-12.
We all had a good time as the altar servers and their families enjoyed the exciting game.
On Saturday, May 19th, 2012, the altar servers and their families held a Car Wash Fundraiser at Giordano's Collision, in Medford. We washed all kinds of cars for five hours, enjoyed pizza and soda, and we all had a great time.
This fun time was not just a great day to wash cars. It was a time when the servers all worked together to raise over $400 dollars. The Funds will be used to pruchase tickets to a Long Island Ducks Game later in the year and new Albs to use while serving. Everyone had a great time!
On February 4, 2012, the altar servers and family took a trip to Bowl Long Island in Patchogue. We bowled for two hours, enjoyed pizza and soda, and we all had a great time.
This fun time was not just a great day. It was a time where servers and their families got the chance to meet other servers. The servers started to interact with other servers creating bonds that will be continued on the altar when serving and at fun outings such as bowling.
